Newbie to forum. Need some insight into the problem I am experiencing. Created slide show in Nero Vision the show does not play smoothly. The show will pause at various points in show. What makes it frustrating is it plays differently on different DVD players. On my PC, it plays smoothly without pauses. On my high-end (but 4-year old) Yamaha player is only pauses in a couple of places. On my low-end Magnavox player/burner, it pauses several times with longer delays. I have recreated the project several times and each time the pauses persist but in different places with different severities. The is no difference in how I created the projects. I have burned at a slower speed and this does not seem to help. I also reduce the size of the pictures to between 100 - 1200 MB. There does seem to be at least some correlation between the bigger pictures and the pauses, but not is all cases. Nothing directly consistent. My PC is a high-end Dell P4 with a gig of ram and 128mg video card. Should not be the PC, although it may be the burner. The thing is I did a similar slide show last year on this PC with Nero 6 and did not experience any of these issues. I would appreciate any help/advice you can give. The Slide Show is for my nephews wedding in two days. Thanks for your responses.
I am just guessing, but perhaps the differences in playback on different players is because the way they decode the DVD. Try adding pictures that are 100K instead of 100M to see if the show will go smoothly, and how it looks with photos of a smaller size.
