Hi guys, I just bought an ATI 3850 HD video card for my computer because my old ATI 9600 went bad on me after a few years. I installed the programs that came with the disk and tried updating my direct X version, but nothing I know will fix it. The problem has occurred most frequently I've noticed on buttons that change when you roll the mouse over it, such as the words being highlighted or something. The card is fine, nothing is crashing, its just scrambling some graphics. Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance!

Here are a few more pics, so far only Zune and World of Warcraft have this problem, but I don't have many programs installed that have this problem. From what I can tell all the graphics in my web browser are alright. I have reinstalled my entire OS now and every driver and still get this problem.... I'm beginning to think that its a problem with the actual video card itself....

I've been on this stupid problem since 3pm today, and its 11 hours later now... I found whats wrong, stupid ATI doesn't have the correct drivers up for it. You need to go to their knowledge base and find the "hotfix" hidden in there. Works fine now though:

AMD Customer Care Site Map > Radeon Support - PC > Radeon X1950 series > Knowledgebase > Gaming >
737-31542: DirectX not functioning with Radeon AGP graphics cards

I'll be quite plain about this - if that's the only bug you encounter with a high end AGP card, think yourself very lucky, many have it far worse off.
