    That doesn´t even look too bad =) So here´s what you should do:

    Remove via control panel ( Add/remove programs ) if found:

    Alexa Toolbar

    Mark these entries with HijackThis, and press fix checked

    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://red.clientapps.yahoo.com/customize/ie/defaults/sb/ymsgr6/*...
    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = http://red.clientapps.yahoo.com/customize/ie/defaults/sp/ymsgr6/*...
    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchURL,(Default) = http://red.clientapps.yahoo.com/customize/ie/defaults/su/ymsgr6/*...
    O20 - Winlogon Notify: browsela - C:\WINDOWS\system32\browsela.dll
    O21 - SSODL: ukxcoULhXb - {ECC1792D-466B-D387-8F05-C0EABFF6BF68} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\ox.dll

    Then make your hidden and system files visible ->
    http://www.xtra.co.nz/help/0,,4155-1916458,00.html

    Get win32delfkil -> http://users.telenet.be/marcvn/tools/win32delfkil.exe

    Save it to your desktop and doubleclick it and it´ll make a folder called windelfkil.
    Open windelfkil-folder and doubleclick fix.bat. if your computer doesn´t automatically reboot after fix then reboot it yourself.

    Boot in safe mode (press F8 while booting and select safe mode from appearing menu)

    Delete these, if found:

    C:\WINDOWS\============>alt.exe<========
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\===>ox.dll<=========
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\===>browsela.dll<===

    Reboot, post a new HjT-log and contents of C:\windelf.txt

    Hello.
    I could not find the Alexa file under add/remove programs.

    I ran HJT and deleted the items below.
    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Bar = http://red.clientapps.yahoo.com/customize/ie/defaults/sb/ymsgr6/*...
    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Search Page = http://red.clientapps.yahoo.com/customize/ie/defaults/sp/ymsgr6/*...
    R1 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\SearchURL,(Default) = http://red.clientapps.yahoo.com/customize/ie/defaults/su/ymsgr6/*...
    O20 - Winlogon Notify: browsela - C:\WINDOWS\system32\browsela.dll
    O21 - SSODL: ukxcoULhXb - {ECC1792D-466B-D387-8F05-C0EABFF6BF68} - C:\WINDOWS\system32\ox.dll

    I unhide the hidden files.

    Then I downloaded and thought I ran windefkil. Not sure if it fixed anything because I had to reboot myself in safe mode. When i rebooted I could not find the alt.exe program to delete. I did find and delete ox.dll. But I could not delete the browsela.dll file because it said that it was being used by another program.

    Norton detected the browsela virus when I rebooted again. I could not fix it.

    I ran HJT and the log follows. The file I thought I deleted are still there or have returned.

    Do that windelfkil again. Now if it doesn´t boot automatically boot it yourself. But doen´t boot it to safe mode. Just a normal boot. Then do the things I said earlier. And post the content of C:\windelf.txt.
    Ain´t sure if it helps, but at least we should give it a try. If this doesn´t solve the problem I´ll have to ask from someone to take a look at this.

    If you mean "jatka painamalla mitä tahansa näppäintä",,,, That´s Finnish and means "press any key". In the beginning there´s that place where you should press "installieren" that´s german and means "install". That´s confusing I agree. Any help?

    Hello.

    I meant the Ja and Ne. I pressed ja each time I was asked. I think it is loaded correctly but I am not sure. When I double click on dix.bat, it only blicks really quick. . . nothing else happens. And I cannot find contents of C:\windelf.txt. The file is not found anywhere. What should I do? Also when i reboot and run HJT, the browsela file is still there and Norton is still detectiing it.

    I deleted the file and folder and reinstalled it. I double clicked on fix.bat. and the hour glass symbol came up quickly. Nothing happened after that. I also could not locate the txt file in the C drive. Will not having microsfot word affect this file from not working on my computer?

    The file is created after a succesfull scan. So when there is some problem with windelfkil the file won´t even be created.... I´ll have to ask help from someone else.
