it has 64 mb ram.and im trying to install windows 98 from a 98 cdrom.i put the 98 boot disk on a floppy and put in drive, and selected boot with cdrom, then all the drivers load.then it looks like windows is going to start, but then it says:windows checking reg.
    windows is configuring
windows needs 78,000,000 kb to install on c:\
so i reformated large wouldnt work
so i said no to large disc still wouldnt work
its sort of not worth it but do i need third party software to reformat in fat32,im thinking its not formatting right.
oh and its a 40 gb hard drive
also it has an old abit ab-LX6 motherboard
it was formatting at 4gb a partition[or 4mb]i forget i did it friday

you know what i didnt really look.is that important?if its not seeing the right size thats my whole problem huh?im going there within the next couple of days.ill look at that.thanks...if it is seeing the right gbs what else could be stopping windows from installing?i remember it saying the biggest partition was 4gb which gave me 50 percent of the disc and then when i fdisk it large it said i was using 100 percent of the disc.then i made the disk active right?does that help?if not ill look at it again and come back and post here again.thanks
