    Hello. I have two questions.

    1) Is there any way to burn data from a network? (I'm expecting the answer to be no.)

    2) I saved a compilation file which includes dozens of files to burn onto a DVD from my C drive, but my burner doesn't work so I have to move all my files to burn on another computer's D drive (not enough free space on its C). It took me a very long time to select the dozens of specific files I need to burn (out of hundreds in the dir I'm selecting from) for the compilation, but of course I can't use the .nri file I saved b/c it points to the C drive, not the D. My question is, is there any way to edit the .nri file to point to the D drive, or any way to point to a new location w/o having to redo the entire compilation from scratch? I tried to open the .nri file in notepad, but it contains lots of special characters that make it seem impossible to edit in the manner I need.

    Thanks for the help.

network burning is possible but you will need to make sure your network is free of traffic before you start or you will have read buffer problems

if you have nero why not burn an iso image on the computer with no dvd rom and transfer the iso to the computer with the burner

    Thanks for the reply.

I'm using Nero 6.6.0.18 and see no option to burn from the network. How do I do it?

Making an iso image is a good idea, but I don't have enough space on my hd to do so. That's the main reason for burning to DVD in the first place.

Do you know if there is a way to edit the compilation file?

    Thanks for your help.

hi youll need to map the network drive containg the files you want to burn from the computer that has the burner this will normaly create a new drive called Z:
I had a look at one of my nra files nero had created and even though it did contain special characters the file description was still written as D:\films\*.*** if your nri is the same it sould be possible just to edit the location

Ah, yes, camouflaged in and separated by all those funny characters is the path to the files, including the drive letter. However, when I try to edit any part of the file, Nero crashes when attempting to open it. Oh well. Thanks for the network help.

just a further thought you could map the drive the other way and make the mapped drive your destination drive for the iso I think it would be more succesful as the files being copiled would be on the machine that is running nero
