help on how to view computer programs on my tv

    could anybody advise what is needed so i can watch my divx movies from my harddrive on a regular tv. what cards and cables do I need.

    ok to watch it on your tv you are going to need a s-video cable. and of course you computer is going to need a s-video output. once thats done connect it then press and hold the function key along with f4 which should be your monitor key. if not hold the function key and just push all the f keys. i use my laptop on the tv, so if your using a desktop th keyboard will be a little different in the sence of what they show in the keys as extra functions.

    first are u using a desktop or laptop. cause pretty much most laptops have a s-video output on them. if your using a desktop then look were your monitor input is and there should be a s-video output next to it. what you would be looking at is your graphics card. so if its a old computer then most likely it wont have one. it looks like a black dot, its the size of the mouse and keyboard inputs.

    good luck. and if u dont have a s-video out put then you can always upgrade your graphics card.

    i am using a desktop and i dont have a video s out on my graphics card, i guess ill have to get one
