I tryed to put another firmware on the starview. This i the first starview. When switcig the box on t loads and then it switched off . is there anyway to boot or format the ox to put the old one back. the thing is i was having problems with some of channele getting scrambled and they never worked.
sorry mate that box is now old, i doubt they have new software for it. so the only thing you can do is enter the codes manualy,so google bigmaq toolbar it has all the codes. but as most boxes will change to nagra3 the codes wont work much longer if at all. best of luck mate.
I putted another firmware for another firmware which starview 2 into starview 1. does it mean that the box useless and damaged
you need to check through the site using the search banner (above center)for posts and threads relating to fixing a bad flash or how to fix wrong firmware flash. i have flashed starview 2 with incorrect firmware and simply reflashed and it was ok,im not sure about starview 1 as all boxes are not the same.
