I was wondering if anyone else has had problems with the VideOh! AVC-2210 when capturing a VHS analog tape from the VCR to the hard drive. If someone has managed to record this way please could you give me the exact setup. I have gone by the manual and got in touch with technical support but still have problems. The error is no picture in the capture window and a message "A video signal was not detected..etc". I'm using the product software "Sonic MyDVD". Any help appreciated. Thank You!
Do you have all of the Drivers properly Installed??? Have you selected the Input you are useing on the Capture device as your Video source in the Capture settings??(Select Composite if useing the RCA Inputs and select S-Video if useing the S-Video input ECT) Have you tried different capture software Like the Software that came with the Card?? Are your VHS tapes Retail Tapes?? Because you Might be experienceing Copy protection problems but even then you should still get a Preview before Trying to Capture.... Good Luck
Hi there I have, after many hours of pulling my hair out managed to get all my old tapes from my camcorder onto dvd. I have now purchased a digital camera! I too used sonics mydvd videoh. Instead of using the avi, which I did manage to do, I capture via showbiz which is mydvd's editing software. If you go direct to showbiz and attach your camera and then click on capture. I assume you would attach your video in the same way. You need to set it to capture with mpeg2 format and should only capture about 10 minutes at a time. Let me know how you get on or you need any more help as it's a while since I did it and may need to refer back. BUT IT CAN BE DONE!
