here's what happened my pc was giving me probs not loading programs and so on so thinking I had a virus I completely wiped my hard drive using ontrack, anyways set it all back up it was working great for two days then this morning I wake up turn it on boots up like normal then all of a sudden the screen went black then normal then black then normal and finally went totally blank. I checked all my connections no problems, so next I turned it off and back on still nothing wouldn't even turn back on. thinking maybe my monitor has died I disconnect it all and try my other montior and still get nothing it wouldn't even read a signal the pc is on, so I hit the button to reset and nothing it doesn't reset so I pressed the power button and nothing I shut off the power bar turn the pc back on still nothing from the monitor. check the old montior it's working cables all are working, I tried changing the battery on the mother bord nothing cleaned out all the dust and everything nothing still, thinking not this might be a graphics problem I pull my card out and try the on board card and still got nothing. I unplug the montior it says no signal plug it in and it says nothing it's just black. now I'm stumped no idea what's wrong and do to a recent job lose I don't have the money to bring it in to be fixed. for the time being I have a borrowed pc everything works on this so I'm at a lose, also I noticed that one of my fans has stopped spinning, the other has power still as well as the lights that came with my tower the power supply seems to be working it sounds as if the pc males it's normal humming noise when it's booted even does the beep like it's booted but the screen stays black. Any suggestions or help would be great.

Gggaaaaaa wall of text simulation alert...

    I fed it word 07

Alright.... its 5AM..and I have not slept...... don;t mind me..... *yawns*
Where was I...ah...... it sounds like either the mobo is going or its the video card, but most likely its the video card.

Can you try another card and see if it works?

gaaa I am still not woke up

Pull the HD/DVD/CD drives and PCI/EX slot cards, I meant to say make sure you unplug the drives both data cables and power cables.

Once you reset the bios you've done just about all you can to get it to boot, if it refuses to boot then perhaps a ram stick might be bad, all that's left after that is the cpu and mobo.
