As someone who is technically ignorant. I have just read through the firmware page. It is another language to me. I wouldn't have a clue. Seriously. Can someone please help? I’m also blind as a bat and had trouble inputting codes as it was. Never mind looking at the back of the machine. I really don’t mind helping myself. But I would need an idiot guide to help me on my way. Take pity on a pitiful soul?

Hi, Thanks for getting back to me. I followed the thread Strview help files. The info it gave there indicated that I needed to update the box to get the automatic update of codes. I'm with N*L Irl. I have The B*x. API ver.4.ooe_E Boot ver:7.0... The firmware i don't really know what that is. I'm presuming that it is new supproting software for the box. As you can see a bit clueless.

You will need a null modem cable DB9F to DB9F.

    Null modem info
    http://www.maplin.co.uk/Search.aspx?criteria=L71BT&DOY=2m6

If your pc does not have a serial port you will need a USB to serial port adapter to use in conjunction with the null modem cable.

    USB Adapter info

    http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?Modu...erial Adaptor

These two cable links are only for reference as they can be purchased alot cheaper on fleabay.

All firmware/loader can be found in the link at the end of my post marked Eamos Library.

You will need the GTromloader v.400rar, (Starview Software Uploader), found in the Starview software folder of the link. in the firmware folder you will need the crypstar-v1.4-genuine only zip

And please download the Starview PDF guide,(similar instructions, this will give you step by step instructions on how to do everything. This can be found in the Starview Documentation folder in the link.
