help please!! no signal on box

Came home today to find that my starview box has the "no signal message" i've tried autoscan an factory reset a number of times but its only manaaged to pick up 7 channels. It wont even pick up BBC or ITV anyone any ideas? All leads are firmly plugged in aswell.

 

Try this :
menu > 1570
Turn "key emu" on
Go to set default key > press ok
Exit out to s*y sports & let it update.

 

Thanks, tried that already although i dont have sky sports at the minute since i deleted the channels doing the factory reset. Its strange that it keeps picking up between 3 and 7 channels each time i scan so there must be some life left!!I've tried everything though.

 

Try reflashing it , then factory setting , then auto scan

 

Dont know what to do here, cant even watch ordinary tv now as the main feed came through the starview, have no channels at all. and my ntl box wont work either.

 

Well then its either a cable company fault or a loose connection at your end.

 

Both mine and my mates have both got the no signal message. If its a cable company fault what happens then? will they come back on, i was thinking now that the footy is back ntl have wiped the boxes.

 

Then its a CC fault if not only has your VM box gone down but so has you neighbours. So it should come back when fault is resolved there have been a number of VM problems in recent days.

 

cheers...i'll try scanning the channels again tomorrow, with hopefully better results.

when i first got i had about 200channels and i did alot of scannin and then got me self 300+ channels and one day most dident work now i search and find only 172-195 channels i have not restored to settings coz some channels still work what i dont find..anyone get an idea yet?

allso i dont no if you can get but i never did get skysports 1 and to.. im north east uk... soo anyone plz?

 

You didnt say what b0x you have. Is it a st@rview?

i use virgin broadband with a spliter..

and is there anyway for me to see if i need an update?.. i dont no lol any help would be reali reali nice of you

 

hehe i think i fixed it..

well when i say me i mean virgin..

i took box out and got a virgin box put in and all set up by them.. then i just stop payin for virgin box and use the connectins for SVS and i searched today and have 400+ channels DD
