Help Please: Replace XBOX360 DG-16D2S

Hi

Im going to replace my XBOX360 DVD-ROM which is Lite-On DG-16D2S.

Do I have to replace it with the same model or there are some other options?

(I have the old drive DVD-Key and know how to us JF for writing it on new drive)

Yes you must replace it with the exact model for example if its a liteon 74850c you have to replace it with a 74850c or it eill not work

To do this
1) follow the jungleflahser tutorial on how to do a full key and firmware dump for your drive
2) replace and install new drive
3) Change the dvdkey on the new drive to your old on
4) plug into xbox

What is this "LO 98"?

 

98 series liteon, you can use any liteon that is a d2s!
