HELP PLEASE!!! softmod an xbox with out the original hardrive(do not have the original hardrive)

A few weeks ago a burnt m motherboard on my xbox by trying to mod it. so i went to ebay and bought a working motherboard(same version). itried to hook up the old hardrive but it gave an 06 error. so now im trying to put it on that new motherboard but it doesn't work. Help me please!!

 

That hard drive was formatted with your old motherboards EEPROM. The only way the hard drive will work if it is formated with the new motherboards EEPROM. I don't think you can boot disks, but try it anyways, don't know what its worth...

Anywho, you are going to need to get the EEPROM, and the only way is to extract it from the motherboard..
You will need an eeprom reader.
