Hi, i wish to convert(DIVX compressed).Avi files of a tv series into DVD. I have followed all the instructions using TMPGEnc 2.5 as well as with Infoedit, but when i burned the DVD with Nero, i got the video alrite but there was no sound, smtg to do with codecs, maybe? The converted video doesnt have sound even when i play it on my computer, while the original one does. Luckily it was a DVD-RW so it wasnt wasted. Another thing, it took me 24 hrs to convert an avi file to mpeg2....is that normal? Last but not the least, how come in 1 DVD only abt 2 episodes fit....is there another way to fit as many episodes as possible with compromising on the quality too much??? 1 episode is abt 400mb. Thanx for all the help in advance?
For the audio, try this - under options>environmental settings>VFAPI plugin, raise the priority of DirectShow Multimededia File Reader to 2 by righytclicking on the name. If the problem still persists, create a wav and enter that as the audio:http://www.videohelp.com/virtualdubaudio.htm TMPGEmc is terrible with audio and while it's known for its slowness, 24 hours is excessive but someone else will have to help with that. When using the wizard, cannot the file size be adjusted (page 4, I think) so that you can fit more episodes? For example, for 3 episodes, set slider to 33%, but, about 4 1 hour episodes is the limit I would go and 3 is better. It's not the episode being 400 MB, its the length and the bitrate used. Setting the slider lower reduces bitrate.
