hey guys, i am waiting for my sound card then im going to fire this bad boy up. i was wondering,there is a new flash bios for this motherboard,but it should fire up with the old one right? its always easyier to do bios and drivers after windows is done right? so it says press f2 go in and set bios before installing windows. that is so i make sure everything is posting correctly right? first build everything is going so smooth so far,but it took hours[all day]to build.is that real slow?
Yeah you can leave the old bios on if you like or you could update it... Its upto you or if you experiance problems : ) You can update the BIOS anytime either befor installing windows or after... again its upto you... As for drivers, how are you going to install them before the operating system? You install the opp sys first then install the drivers : ) Yip press F2 to enter the BIOS setup... ("made simple") Set you time and date and boot priority.. (eg. 1st boot device = CD/DVD, 2nd = Floppy and 3rd set to Hard Disc)... Then save and exit... First build : ) Congrats but if it took you all day you wouldnt get a job at my place! lol Try 10-15 mins for build up only, or build up and install windows (with ghost) plus prep windows with customer deatails about 15-25 mins.... : )
damn im a fast learner maybe next one will go faster[lol]thanks alot.the longest part of build was the star ice heat sink,what a monster.there was a black thing around cpu,couldnt figure that out for a while[how to take off motherboard so i could install heatsink]...lol..rest of build took like 4 hrs...lol...i just hope it starts right up thanks again...im a little slow but as the 3dgame man says this should be kick ass[lol] here it is what do you think: thermaltake dream tsunami all alum. case\side window w fan on window x64 3700+ san diego sony dru 810a dvd dl burner x 2[on sale for 2] 1gb kit of ocz el plat timings 1t 2225[real fast mem] asrock 939-sata 2 mb[because of support for agp and pci-e]kool huh? asus star ice heatsink and fan[what a pain to install] win xp pro[oem] wd 250gb 16mb cache sata 2 hard drive[will add 1 later,config raid 0] hiper r 580 watt sli ready power supply
