I've got a Emerson EWD-7003... and i tried and tried to get a cd-r with a movie on it ... i tried vcd's and data disc's neither work... it reads the cd-r but then say's "Disc Read Error"... it wont work if you cd player wont play vcd's.. thats probley your main problem you have to have a dvd player able to play vcd's
