@Sabledown (lady) After reading through this again and again trying to isolate what is transpiring I am wondering if the answer is as simple and making sure that the destination drive for Mode Write ISO is your E: drive. See the image below. Open up DVDdecrypter, go to Mode>Write ISO and then as indicated in the image above set your destination as E: which sould be your DVD writer drive. Put in some blank media and click burn. Make sure of course that you have the appropriate ISO file selected from your hard drive. Post back.
@ sabeldown if running win xp----- Go to the star menu------then to my computer------click on it---- You will see some things lik Local disk (c 3 1/2 Floppy (a Ceasar3 (d the C: is considered my hard drive, some people have more than 1 A: and D: are floppy drives A: is a 3 1/2 drive for discs While D: is my CD ROM drive, BUT it has a cd in it otherwise it would say cd-rom (d So now what does your screen say What is A; b: C: D: E: yada yada yada LD
Sabeldown, Go to Start -> My computer again and tell us ALL your Drives, both Hard Drives and Drives with removable storage.
@Sabledown I have an idea lightbulb flickers brightly Go to the following link and download gadwin printscreen 3.1 and install it. http://www.gadwin.com/products.htm?prnscr Next go to http://www.imageshack.us and set up a free account. Now use the gadwin print screen to capture the image of your drives and upload the image to imageshack. Save the image in gadwin as a .png image. Both of these programs are free and will assist you not only here but more than likely in other areas as well. Once you have uploaded the image you copy and paste the [bold]direct link[/bold] into this forum reply message box, between image link boxes (see above reply message box for example) If you have questions post back. That is how I put up my images. (Locoeng showed me...credit where credit is due

Don't get you're liver in a quiver.. [bold] [/bold] Very Poor Media---- Please try some better Discs before you give up completely.. For the time try burning at 2x and see if it's a go. edit: Try to get disc like Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim, TDK, Maxell.....
ok. I have: Hard Disc Drives: 2 1. HP_Pavillion C 2. HP Recovery D Devices with removable storage: DVD:RW Drive E
Sabledown, That D: drive is just a partition set up on your C: drive so you can restore your HD if any thing goes wrong.. It comes on an HP computer. Read your manual and back it up to CD’s then do away with it.. The Manual tells you how.. I had the same thing on my Compacq.. But don't forget, get some better Discs.....
Ok. am trying the Jimmy Barnes x2 as suggested. Will let you know how I get on Thank you ALL for all your help on this. Hopefully I will be able to do more now FINGERS CROSSED
@Sabeldown Glad everyone have you sorted out. Here is a mini guide, you can try to set the settings inside DVD Decrypter and it will rip nearly 99% of the movies when using Mode, File F or Mode, ISO, Read. *NOTE: in prior to the ripping part, let’s tweak/set a few settings inside DVD Decrypter* ** open up DVD Decrypter, go to Tools, and Settings ** at General on “Removal Method” arrow down to “Aggressive” ** at I/O, check “Ignore Read Errors” ** at “File Mode” check on all of the Remove, Ignore, Patch and Create MDS file. ** at CSS check “Brute Force -->I/O key exchange, On Failure: use key from another file [YES] ** at “ISO Read Mode” check on all Remove and Create MDS file Once you’re done with the settings, click OK to get out from the settings. *NOTE: make sure your dvd burner’s firmware is up-to-date with the most current firmware available. Firmware plays a very important role in query to dvd burning -- it helps to increase the burning performances, media compatibility and it will be able to handle the latest manufacture’s media codes in prior to the burning process. So your burner can write to the media properly, instead of getting “KEY_MEDIUM_ERROR”, “INVALID_DISC” or getting “coasters”, etc. Go here http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_all.php to check on your burner’s firmware if there is any current available, or if you’re not sure that your burner’s firmware is the latest, download it to run and updates the firmware if necessary. Additionally, number one rule of thumb is to always use “high quality” media like genuine Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim “Advanced Azo” or “DataLifePlus” and Maxell (Made In Japan by Hitachi Corp.), these are my 3 top choices of high quality media. I’ve used them over hundreds and hundreds (thousand) mainly for all of my dvd burning projects and I’ve never encountered any issues whatsoever. In addition, keep in mind to slow your burning speed at 4X only (this is one of the best and safest speeds for dvd burning so far). On the other hand, if you’re fully content that your burner is capable of handling 8X without any failures at all and both you and your burner have the courage to go beyond 4X, then you may try at 8X if you feel the need to. However, I would not recommend going any further than 8X regardless of how super power your dvd burner is made of, the chances are if you’re burning at 12X or 16X, you’re more than likely going to end up with a “coaster” or it may be a successfully burned now, but down the road, it may trigger some playback issues such as skipping or freezing. In contrast, the choice is yours, we’re all entitled to our own preferences and judgment, but keep in mind that “quality last, not quantity and speeds.” Good luck, happy burning and happy holidays!!!!!!
i made all those settings, Thank you. Is it normal for a DVD when in shrink to take 7 hours?? Thats what it says when doing last part.
it really depends on your pc .If your pc is relatively upto date with nost of the latest parts then no. I am intrigued though, why would you want to back up jimmy barnes..
cause Im a true blue AUSSIE living in New Zealand and just LOVE Jimmy Barnes's music! Is he not big in the US?
