Hi, Ok I'm new and not sure whats what round here lol
Question 1 is, how do I play a normal dvd film on the pc, I have several media players, but they won't play the dvd film ??? (bought dvd film)

Question 2. IF I wanted to backup a dvd film for instance, I'd need to know how to, if someone could direct me to the right forum or tell me what I need, I have a dvd-rw.

thanks for any advice on the above two questions

    Dear Robisme,

Let's focus on the first question first:

    1) Which media players have you tried?

    2) When you say they don't work, what do you mean?

    3) Did they display any error messages?

Let's focus on the first question first:

    1) Which media players have you tried? Windows Media Player,Nero Startsmart.

    2) When you say they don't work, what do you mean? neither one actually plays the dvd.

    3) Did they display any error messages?, both media players more of less said they cannot play DVD Video. Windows said "Media Player cannot play DVD Video"
    Why I don't know !!
    thanks

I personally use the free VLC player from http://www.videolan.org/

It's a great player and is easy to use.

    I recommend it.
