How do I burn a divx movie file to a cd-r, and have it work in my home dvd player?

Do I play a avi file in a dvd player by making a data disk?

 

Ok hee's a quick guide from me.
Open up nerovision
Drag and drop your avi file/s
remove/ edit chapters and menu however you want.
Start process and burn to cd-r. But I strongly recommend burning onto DVD instead as it can hold longer movies and better quality of video.
