Someone turned me onto dvd shrink and dvddecrypter and img burn. I can copy the discs to my hard drive using dvdshrink, but when I attempt to put them on a disc using either of the two above, I get this error:

    I/O error!
    Device[1:0:0] lite on DVDRW30dklw-8325vts3(d:)(data)
    scsi Status 0x02
    interpretation: Check condition

Interpretation: can not write medium-incompatable format

What does this mean? I am a NEWB!!!!!!!! please keep in mind when explaining that I need the KISS method:
    Keep
    It
    Simple
    Stupid!

Any help given in lay mans terms would be greatly appreciated!

I am using Memorex DVD-R? is that the problem? I also might need to update my firmware!

Please help me I am desperate!

Could be the Memorex discs that are the problem, also make sure that your burner supports the -R format...you may have an older drive that only recognizes +R discs. Also a firmware check is a good idea.

Ok, just a few more quick questions... How would I know if my DVD R/RW supports only +R discs... I can play -r discs on it? Also, are these the only issues I need to look into? can anyone think of any others... Just want to spend a good amount of time working just to find out it is something else

    Thanks.
