I'm using DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink to back up my DVD's. When i use DVD Decrypter it says it completes sucessfully but when i go into DVD Shrink the Title 1 isn't there. Help please!
Hello. I'm not sure what you mean when you say Title 1 is not there. Are you getting an error message in DVD Shrink? Was this a newer DVD with lots of copy protection? Did you rip with Decrypter in file mode or ISO mode? If file mode, did you select main movie file only or all files?
I was trying to back up Annapolis so it's pretty new. When i decrypted it i did main movie and ifo's and i did it in File F mode No errors in either program. When i go into DVD shrink i click on re-author find the folder the movie is in and nothing is there. If I look in the same folder out of DVD shrink there is stuff there
Hello. Annapolis had pretty good structural copy protection iirc. Were you using AnyDVD in the background? Otherwise weird stuff will result. AnyDVD: http://www.slysoft.com Ripit4me, a freebee, which somewhat automates the use of DVD Decrypter, FixVTS, and DVD Shrink can do this movie as well. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/1/360110#2132519
DVDShrink will not be able to back up ths movie alone, you will have to use DVDFab Decrypter or anydvd to break the encryption, or a program called ripit4me you can get it from here alongside an excellent guide by arnibear. http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/360110 Here is DVDFab Decrypter (it's free) http://www.dvdidle.com/free.htm Here is anydvd (21 day trial) http://www.slysoft.com/en/download.html Maybe it does not show up because DVDD can not handle the movies encryption? Edit: I am so tired I wrote the same line twice, lol
Thanks for the help.... I got the free trial version of AnyDVD but I don't know what to do. I tried copying Annapolis again but it still doesn't show up in DVD Shrink. Help!!!!
Did you use the built in ripper in AnyDVD? Right click on the red fox in the tray and choose DVD rip to HDD, check the box to remove blank or unreference cells. Annapolis has ripguard protection on it, which means there are blank frames in the DVD. Then open and process with Shrink.
