I have 2 nokia 3205 which are locked to Orange and I cant use them because I need to get it unlocked so I can use it on another network. I pressed this code *#639# and this came up: Service prog. code: So what does this mean? Anyone know? Thanks Missymel
That is the code that allows the phone to talk with the Provider. When you buy a Service, the phone is programed to work on that Network. Be careful with that. JG
WHy what can happen? I keeped pressing it adn then i got a message that says Excess SPF something... I cant remember the last word.. anywho i switched it off then back on again after a few minutes and itwent back to how it was before... oops
The phones are with Orange in Australia. I keep getting told that they are not CDMA becasue they have an ESN and not an IMEI.. ok im getting confused now...
I keep getting told that they are not CDMA phones becasue they have an ESN and not an IMEI. They work but I cant use them because I bought them from my cousin who doesnt use them anymore and they are both locked onto the Orange network in Australia. OK im getting confused now....
They are CDMA. That is why they have ESN. GSM phones have IMEI . I am not sure whether you can activate a CDMA service in OZ but you can try. We cannot unlock it here. You might be able to use what is called B channel but I really have never had to deal with that. You could search the Nokia suppore for the manual for that phone and see how to do that. The Network provider might be able to help you. That's about all I can offer. I have asked the real EXPERT to look. JG
Thanks for the help JoeGons,, but what is BCHannel and where do I find the nokia support please? Thanks Missymel
