Hi, I have some files on my pc and basically I want to burn them to a DVD and watch on my ps3 or dvd player.

The files open with windows media player but at first it was only the sound (no picture) - but I have sorted that. I found the files are actually .xvid which Im not really familiar with. Anyway they are working fine now on media player but I have 6 seperate .xvid files that I want to burn on a dvd.

I know how to burn .iso files but what is the best thing to do with .xvid files? Can you burn direct or convert the files first. Thanks for any help.

I assume these are .avi file.
If your standalone DVD Player is DivX certified - you can burn them to a CD or DVD as data files.

If your standalone unit is not DivX certified, you must convert them to DVD movie format.

In DVD movie format, generally, up to three hours running time can be put on a standard blank dvd.

DVD Flick is a good choice for converting AVI to DVD format.
It will optionally burn the disk.
It contains a simple, concise guide.

    .BUP
    .IFO
    .VOB

Those are the files that comprise a movie DVD.
They are normally in a folder named 'VIDEO_TS'
The files can be burned to DVD using Nero or ImgBurn.

Hi, yes the files are already in a 'VIDEO_TS' folder. I think I have a version of Nero somewhere. So which files do I burn, all of them? And will this work in a normal dvd player. Many thanks
