    Hi there i have a xbox 360 and the drive says it is a Philips & BenQ VAD6038 can this be flashed thank you for any help.

    Thats the best drive out of them all and yes it can be flashed. See the Jungleflasher PDF for instructions.

    why is it the best drive? i like the samsungs, you don't even have to open up the drive to dump the key.

    just curious.

    These are the one of the quitest drive with better laser life and quality which can read scratched dvds with ease as compared to other drives.They are also easy to flash just like the Sammys.No need to cut traces or open up the drive which are required for LiteOn Drives.Just click on "BenQ Unlock" Btn similar to "Sammy Unlock" Btn in JF and the drive goes in Vendor mode ready to Read and Dump Firmware abd easy to write as well.Hope that helps!

    You don't have to open a BenQ.
    They are newer than Sammies.
    They are the practically un-brickable.
    Very reliable.

    I personally prefer Lite-Ons. Harder to flash, but seem to be a bit quieter.
