    hi every1,

if any1 can help me your advice is V.apperciated.

first off after searching and reading nearly every post on how to convert avi onto mpeg2 i have finally acheived this after a week.

after downloaded AVI. i then converted it onto mpeg using TMPGEnc, after that i then author it using the TMPGEnc DVD author then i burned it using the write dvd, but here is the PROBLEM... after buring onto dvd i though yippy i got somewhere, but my stand alone dvd player doesn't play on it, i don't understand this co's my player works on all dvd media. so then i tried to play my dvdr using my ps2 and it works fine after 5mins then it stuttered a bit then complatly unreadable.

so.. after that, i decided to use the TMPGEnc dvd author to create the MPG file to iso and using the iso2dvd which sucessfully worked. now my dvd player can accept the dvdr its now the movies pause after 5mins and the stops.
so i don't know what the next steps are....i have followed all the precedures to burn onto dvd but i don't know what the problem is..

    summary...
converted avi to mpg using TMPGEnc
authored it using the TMPGEnc DVD Author then write DVD...Problems dvd player won't play but PS2 does for only 5-10 mins then stops.
on TMPGEnc dvd author created in to ISO then ISO on to DVD.. worked on DVD player but failed within 10mins like on ps2.

is there a problem in what i have done, or is it just the dvd media that i'am using???sorry 4 my bad english

    bboymarto,

It could be the media you're using, the brand of disc. There is a difference in the type of disc you use for burning DVD's.

Try either "Branded" Ritek OR "Branded" Verbatim. When we say "Branded" it means having the name of the top of the disc. You can also use Ridata discs OR "Advanced Metal AZO" BUT they must say "Metal AZO" !

    cheers,

    Pete
