Hi! Well, clueless as I am, here is my predicament...
I have a Toshiba SD-R5272 & loads of Verbatim DVD+R. Verbatim cover says its up to 16x, is 4.7GB/Go DATA & 120 min video. They don't work.
I've used up all my Imation DVD-Rs burning from the same drive but it just won't do anything with the Verbatims. I've checked the Toshiba site & this particular drive should be -/+ so I'm just wondering why it doesn't want to work with my Verbatims. I'm doing a lot of recording for my almost 3 year old daughter & this hiccup just bums me out.
    Help anyone?

You need to provide more information than that.
    What programs have you tried?
What movies are you trying to copy?
Is your firmware up to date?
How much free ram do you have?
Are you running a clean system free of viruses and spyware?
How many programs are running in the background?
The list can go on and on.

Programs? I guess Nero & ULead.
    Movie is avi.
    Firmware? I have no idea.
    I have a Pentium 4 CPU 1.8GHz 1.79GHz, 512 MB of RAM...free RAM? I don't know.
Yes, I have a clean system free of viruses & spyware.
No other program was running when I was trying to burn.

Sorry, so far this is all I can gather. My nick clearly explains my current state.
