help plz i have avi file but i just wanna convert the audio

i have an avi file and wanna but it on my creative vision m the video plays but theres no sound.

so i just wanna know how do i convert the audio to make it compatiable on my mp3??

the audio codec is a52

 

Try the AC3 filter and see if the audio is ok.
(It can be uninstalled if required).

the file plays audio on the pc no problem but when its on the mp3 its not compatable just video.

 

if anybody else runs across this problem this suggestion fixed it for me( the AC3 filter ). I had an avi file I was trying to burn to dvd on nero vision ex. 3 and got perfect video but no sound-the avi played fine on vlc, which is what i use most. After reading this i checked and windows media and divx couldn't play the sound either so i installed the ac3 and now it plays with sound on all programs incl. nero-so apparently vlc carries it's own codecs internally while the other programs depend on the computers installed ones-maybe this will help someone get a fix without trying a zillion things first
