hey guys just tried to falsh my lite-on using jungel flasher however on the last part og witing the key to my drive it failed now my drive wont open or allow me to retrieve any data even using dosflash it just report atapi no identify possible MTK vendor intro failed so has my flash chip fried ? i followed instrustions to the letter using CK3 and jungel flash Help plz
just a update i have the drive key fortunatly i did it 3 times to make sure all was ok nothing will find the drive now. It freezes pc up whan on. i can get dos flash to see it but it won't give me any info on the flash chip just say above post i guess its fubared what drive can i get to replace the lite-on with ? the same drive dg-16d2s or a different model? if its a different model then what to i need to do to write the new key to it?
try re-erasing it with dosflash 1.7 That is what I had to use. One of my liteons had stopped working after it was erased, and Jungleflasher wouldn't detect it. So I used dosflash 1.7, re-erased the drive, then flashed it and it worked fine.
just tried the 1.7 dos flash tried erasing the rom 10 times stil no joy any other ideas? it say erasing then it tell me its finished then when i run dosflash again it point to the drive i try to write to the drive but it just come up Unknown flash chip any othr ideas?
could i recover this bad flash problem by buying a via 6421 sata card? currently using a nforce 650i mobo
im 99% sure its not bricked, you just have to get it erased. try dosflash32, or even jungleflasher to erase. try everything you can, something will work to erase it.
Jungle flash wont even find the drive it sees that there is something on the sata port but it won't erase it When using CK3 with dos flash do i need to use the serial connection instead of usb? Will this then find the drive?
cant get dosflash 32 working keeps saying portio not insatlled when it is i have uninstalled then reinstalled as well
woot woot finally i got dosflash 32 to work om my xp system, i erased the liteon 5 times then restarted jungle flash, then used the erase lite-on button there as a last resort and what do you know it decided to work so now i have a nice new 1.5extreme flashed elite as you can guess im happy i havent got a expensive book holder
Im getting very similar problem. I can get to fix mkt vendor info.. only in dosflash (DOS).. and only after I use liteon e command.. then I can fix the mkt vendor.. then I can flash any fw.bin but after I flash anything... surprise.. my mkt info is gone.. and the only way to get it back is: erasing fw!... How to fix this... I got liteon, already got my key and everything.. If I flash any fw... and I try to make it work on the xbox without mkt info.. i get red ring... if i delete fw and fix mkt... i cant enter windows with the drive connected.. if I write any fw.. I can enter windows.. but windows can't fix mkt. Please help!
