Sorry, but i am completely stumped and don't know what to do. Ok, the problem started a few days ago. I was experimenting with dvd burning programs. I installed WinAvi and ConvertXtoDvd. I burned a dvd at 4X on a maxell cd with ConvertXDvd with no problem whatsoever. The next video I tried 8X. It failed and now I can't burn any dvds at all with any program. I updated Nero too but I still can not burn dvd. However, my drive can still burn Cds (my drive can burn both cd and dvd) My model is Lg GSA 4082b Thanks in advance. Any help would be much appreciated. Here's my log. There is a later update available 7.2.0.3b suggest you try update. Your firmware is 1 version behind, update from here http://121ware.com/support/download/005/gsa4082a209.exe apart from these 2 I cannot see too much wrong with log.
Some causes of this are media, poor/shared power to the drive or your lens is dirty. Try the firmware update as Gwen suggested and see if that helps. Your drive recognizes them & Riteks are okay but you may want to try Verbatim or made in Japan Fuji, Sony or Maxell. The Maxells you have are made in Taiwan. Try a lens cleaner on the drive also. Try our suggestions and let us know how it goes- good, bad or otherwise! edit: quotes
