ok heres the deal......i took an old hdd from one of my computers (40gb) and did the whole xboxhdm and all that good stuff...but wen i got to locking it it wont lock ..so im gettin a new hdd thats compatable.....so my ques is how can i get my old hdd that wouldnt lock to be read on my computer so i can use it on my comp....................o btw ..i have a softmodded xbox 1 more ques... ata/100 will work on soft mod right?
Put the Hd back into your PC and boot. Go in My Computer and right-click on whatever letter it shows up as(E or F or whatever) and the option to format should come up. This is with Win XP I'm not sure about other operating systems.
