help putting 3.40 OE-A on 1.50 psp

how do you put 3.40 OE-A on 1.50 psp

well i downloaded the file to get 3.40 OE-a Update Maker and 3.40 OE-A Firmware. but wen i go on to 3.40 OE-a Update Maker it says 'invalid SHA-1 ' and i don't no what to do. can you please help me.

 

I don't know what that means, but you need the 1.5 firmware update as well.

First of all drag the oeupdmaker and oeupdmaker% folders into your ms0:/PSP/GAME folder.

Get the 1.5 official firmware EBOOT.PBP and rename it 150.PBP, then with the 3.40 firmware EBOOT.PBP, rename it 340.PBP. Then place both these files into the oeupdmaker folder on your PSP.

Disconnect your PSP and run the program.

After it has finished connect back to your pc, go to the ms0:/PSP/GAME/oeupdmaker folder and take out the DATA.DXAR file, put it on your desktop. (You can now delete the oeupdmaker and oeupdmaker% folders)

Then place the 340oeflasher and 340oeflasher% files in your GAME folder, and move the DATA.DXAR file from your desktop to the 340oeflasher folder.

Disconnect your PSP and run the program, read the writing that comes up at the start and agree to what it's about to do.

NOTE: Make sure you don't take out your power cable while it's upgrading and stay away from the on/off switch

 

it says "Invalid SHA-1" it means that faulty memory stick or corrupted DATA.DXAR. can i do anything to make my memory stick not faulty?

 

It's a good chance it's a DATA.DXAR problem, is this when creating the DATA.DXAR or actually writing the firmware?

Double check you have both the official firmwares 1.5 and 3.4 in the oeupdmaker folder. In the folder view there should be these three files: 340.PBP, 150.PBP and EBOOT.PBP

im thinking of updating my psp 1.5 when i downgrade it to 1.5 lol to play 3.40 OE hopefully its worth it and has anyone heard of the game God of war: Chains f olympus?? maddest friking game i seen!!!

 

is ur memory stick a fake??? to find out go to the xmb and press trianlge and go to information, if it says magic gate sup[ported then its real, if not then its fake, so that means that if ur getting invalid sha-1 then buy a new "real" memory stick and try again

 

I think the fakes have managed to get it to say magic gate supported now as well. But that shouldn't really be a problem, to start off with fakes are actually fine, but after a while they degrade fast.

If it's a fake and you've had it a while, you should seek out a real mem card, well, even if you've only had it a short while, still get a real mem card.

 

@STEVE9876-You are running 1.50 currently, correct? First format your memory stick while you are still on 1.50FW-the fact that its fake doesnt really matter..Just format it to get those files off of there...Use this 3.40OE easy winstaller instead..it will make your life easier...

 

MY PSP IS NOW ON FW1.50.
I DID THE FOLLOWING TO THE TEE.

Copy oeupdmaker and oeupdmaker% to /PSP/GAME
BUT I Execute the program I ALLWAYS SAYS CANT OPEN 150.PBP BUT, I MAKES THE DXAR FILE WITH 0kbs

I TRY TO RUN THE 3.40 OE-A UPDATE BUT IS SAYS DXAR INVALID.
THIS IS THE THIRD PSP SYS THAT IM CONVERTING. THIS IS THE ONE I HAVE THE PROB WITH AND THE MOTHER BORD HAS NO TEXT
WHAT AM I DOING RONG.

 

NEVER MIND THE LAST POST I JUST RAN THE 340 OE EASY AND IT WORKED A CHARM.

I USUALLY DONT TAKE THE EASY WAY OUT I LIKE TO WORK OUT THE KINKS BUT, THIS IS NOT MY PSP THOUGH.

 

3.40oe easy installers are reallllll easy.. BUT if you do it manually.. putting the files in yourself..its safer and takes up a little less memory
