Help recovering deleted files

    I accidently deleted two 10gb files from my c drive and a backup hard drive. The iles were deleted with a batch command (del /s /q)
    the c drive has 159 gb free and the backup drive has 70 gb free, yet when I use data recovery software I can't seem to find the file on either drive. Why would these files already be permenatly deleted already. The files were originally deleted last night

    generally speaking, you'd better don't install the recovery program on the some hard disc partition which you lost the data from. and save the recovered files to some other drive, that will be secure.
