    Hi,

The source of my problem was that my connection hung when I was transfering data from the SD card to my computer. If I use a USB card reader there is no problem.

What happened was because of the disruption the majority of my files disappeared, about 600 files on a 8GB SD card. They were not deleted but transformed into about 5 really large files that I couldn't open.

I manage to recover all my photos with some recovery software. However, the .MOV files that have been recoverd won't open although they have the correct size.
I tried converting them but it's not possible.
Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can repair them?

Also most recovery software looks for deleted files do you know of any that can recover single files from corrupt large bundled files?

I have windows XP SP2 and a 8GB Class 6 Transcend SD card.

    Thanks in advance.

Just curious... what software have you used to try and play/convert the damaged .mov files?

While the problem is probably just corrupt headers, I wondering whether something like this would work...

    http://echoone.com/filejuicer/formats/mov-repair

FileJuicer is a Mac program... but the files can be transfered, right? Or maybe some similar hex editing can be tried on some Windows program.
