help required to copy from HDD to DVD with dvd decrypter

    i downloaded a complete dvd only to notice that it is larger than the 4.7 gigs, is there a way to break it up? should i have only downloaded the main movie with IFO files

    what is IFO file;what is VOB file;

    Do you mean downloaded from online or Ripped from a DVD.

    If you have multiple .vob files with all the IFO & BUP files, then you are fine.

    What you wnat to do is, download DVD Shrink. You will have to open the DVD FOlder and then compress the movie to fit the disc.

    .VOB is the actual DVD movie file format (like mpeg, avi, etc...). I am not sure what the IFO is, but it seems like it is a set of instructions and information for the DVD player to perform in order to play back the movie correctly. Editing an IFO can change a lot, like taking out FBI warnings, previews, removing Region Codes, etc...

    thanks, i guess the correct terminology is ripped as i wanted to make an back up copy of a dvd and was unsuccessful with DVD decrypter, i will try DVD shrink.
