I have a Nokia 3120 (type RH-19) on Orange in the UK. I have just signed up to Virgin and want to use my old phone. The IMEI number is 355680/00/332766/0 Any advice welcomed. ps, a complete novice at this lark!
Thanks for the prompt reply. I have pressed #06#. Do I then need to press anything else, as nothing happened.
As suggested, I entered the code and I received a message "phone restriction lifted". I inserted a Virgin sim and received a message, "sim registration failed".
Sim card registration failed can sometimes mean that the sim you are trying to use has expired. Try a new one from someone else to see if it works.
Pazzini, that's exactly what has happened! I tried another sim (Virgin) and it worked. I appreciate your help.
