I have reformated my hard drive but my system cd is scratched ! My laptop reads 40% of the system cd and will not continue further ! Thanks for your reply..
Try making a copy of the CD with Sonic RecordNow or Nero. If that doesn't work, you could try manually copying the files to a temporary folder, then burning them to a CD (but I'm not sure if that'll work). You could also try a scratched disk repair kit... go to your local dollar store or electronics store and see if you can find something like that (should be about $5 or so).
