help! SOHW 812s burner

hi:

Im a newbie in this forum, and i think my post belongs to here due to hardware is a DVD burner

my unit is a Lite on SOHW 812S DVD-R DL. The problem started a days ago. It simple dont read cds or recognice any cds to be burned. I have tried to read cds that were previously readed by the unit, and double-checked with other cd reader unit. Theres no problem with the cds.
The DVD burner function is ok, and it reads DVDs ok.
I tried to actualice the firmware from the Lite-On page and simply dont work.
days ago , it worked ok.

any suggestions

could check your DMA in device manager... set to on!

DVD reading and burning is ok, but CD reading and burning doesnt work at all..

 

original cds?

 

nop. neither original audio cds. only dvds originals and burned
