Hope someone can help my starview has lost all channels. All connections seem ok and signal is still there at 75 to 80 % strength but the screen just reads Scrambled or Bad channell on every channel . I think that possibly nthell have changed frequency and i possibly need to do a new scan . Also my box is running on v4.00 software doe's any know what the latest working version is . Need help desperatly Thanks Andy
Make sure your key emu is on. Press menu, type 1570 on remote and check it. Although you say you have version 4.00, is it patched with the latest Cryptstar patch or are you manually updating. Follow Celt's Guide for the latest update.
Checked key emu it is turned on and i installed a patch a few months ago and i have checked it and it is cryptstar 1.4v i have not been manually updating since i installed it. I was watching the box about midday came back in turned on the power and nothing happening . Box seems to be working fine other than no picture whatsover even on freeview channels so i don't think its a key code issue this time.
Then it either a cable is loose, check the coax is in the RF in socket on the back of the box. Also check connections at splitter if you are using one. After that, sounds like a CC issue in your area and it should resolve itself.
ive a starview 2 or the box i have found that they will not tune in channels anymore u have to find the lowest frequency channel eg 211.000khz and watch it then go into menu go to installation manual scan and u should see ur low frequency on the network search line enable that and press ok thats how i got my missing channels back
