Hi, it's me again. As a follow up, the phone got unlocked OK, but now, apparently the SIM card is the one blocking something because I could not have it working with the local operator in Venezuela, even though they use same phone model. Any suggestions?? Thank you in advance, Alberto.
A very good reason might be that your phone doesnt support the frequency that cell companies in the country are using. They produce the same models, but which operate on different frequencies in different parts of the world. You just might be out of luck. check out www.gsmworld.com for more information.

By checking the Nokia 6101 for T-Mobile range, it says for the phone: Tri-band GSM 850/1800/1900 MHz Checking the link you gave me, it says that Digitel (the local GSM operator), uses 900MHz.
