    Hello,
I tried several p2k programs to unlock my T-Mobile V188, but nothing seems to work. I used 1 program to unlock my V180 and it worked, but it says the process is succesful with the V188 and when I put in a different SIM, it still asks for the Subsidary Code...Can anyone recommend anything?

    Sure,
If you have a Cable for your phone all you need to do is download P2KMan from www.motomodders.net and download the V220 unlock software from Mossy's post "How to unlock your Vxxx for free" because the V180 is basically a simpler version of the V220 so that should work...the software is selfexplanitory, and the drivers are included...post if you need anything else...

Ok, this is what to do:
Since it says connected, you must have all the drivers installed, meaning P2kman has done its job...
    Now go to:
    http://161.184.158.71:6996/mossyy/
and download the 'Unlock V220.zip' file, unzip it, and run the software...its a little inapropriate, but it works...make sure you are DISCONNECTED with P2k man when you click "connect to r-fones ****"
wait several seconds...it will either say performing...done
    or Rfone not found...
If you get R-fone not found then restart your computer...If it says done then you are all set and your phone should be unblocked...
Dont be ashamed to ask a question, we were all newbies at one time...
if you need any more help, dont hesitate to ask...

I just a V188 too and need to figure out how to unblock it to access the hundreds of telephone numbers on my old SIM. Somebody, please help! I want to sue the phone carriers in a class action because they are hurting consumers with their monopolistic practice of locking our phones into their network. Does anyone know of any free software that can generate a subsidy code? If I can unlock either my old phone or my new phone I can use that unlocked phone to transfer my numbers from one SIM to another. My other phone is a Nokia 6800. Please advise. Thanks.
