Help using the straw and paper method

Hey, i came across the straw and paper method: http://www.geocities.com/scorcci/tutoriais/pstwo_easy_mode.html
i plugged the disc brake and the front sensor but i cant seem to get the micro switch under the left hinge joint of the cover. Can someone help me find it withour opening it?

i posted this same site b4 n the guy that tried it had no problems with playing backups on his slim ps2. maybe u doing something worng? ill ask him to help u if u still have trobules
