help w/ modchip

    i have a modded ps2. i dont know what kind of modchip it is because my friend got it for me. The problem is that my backup games were working fine a day ago,but now the ps2 makes some wierd noises and the games dont get past their first load screen. please help!

    what version console, aslo try cleaning your laser
