Hey all, OK so here is what I would like to do and is it a smart thing to do? I would like to have all my movies on a hard drive to watch on my TV whenever I want. Is this possible and if so how? If I'm in the wrong place my apologies. Thanks for the help S
If your computer graphic card supports dual monitor use a secondary cable to attach to tv,it's as simple as that apart from setting up as a clone of or seperate desktops or span, span is what i use,it places task bar on monitor 1 while leaving the other clear, you'll need to play with your graphic card settings to decide which suits you
If your Vid card has only one output (DVI-D) you can use a DVI-D > HDMI adapter and purchase a HDMI 4x1 switch from Monoprice. That's assuming your video card has a DVI-D or HDMI output and your TV has a DVI-D or HDMI input. Jeff
Is there anything that has a scroll down option so I can choose which title from the hard drive from my tv monitor?
Monoprice model HDX-420X 4x2 (four input two output) coax audio HDMI switch. It is a full matrix switcher. Don't know if the same model is available but there should be a replacement. What are you going to use for audio? I'm not sure if that answered your question. If you have an optical mouse within x distance from the PC you can just put the mouse/keyboard somewhere in front of the TV. Jeff
Install xbmc in windows or as a standalone, have videos in separate named folders, any covers you want displayed name them folder & they will show up in xbmc, clik link below then clik any of the skin pictures it'll give you an idea of what's what http://xbmc.org/skins/ edit:if you don't have hdmi on graphic card, use audio cable they come pre made with 3.5mm jack on one end to connect to comp sound output the other end is rca
