When you say DVD Burner do you mean for your computer or did you mean DVD recorder for your TV?

The best DVD Burner for your computer is an NEC or MAD DOG (NEC REBADGE) They are the best writers out there for dirt cheap money.
NEC's are available online for 20-40 bucks. Mad Dogs can be found in store for 45-80 bucks.

As for DVD recorders, thats a tough one. All have great points and low points. I use an Emerson and I love it. It does not have all of the bells and whistles but it creates a great picture whether its a TV show or a VHS to DVD full length movie. These recorders are sold under sanyo and magnavox as well.

Do not buy a dvd recorder vhs combo! Do get a single drive or a recoder with a hard drive.
