Help! where has my screen gone!

I have a motorola raz and the small screen on the cover no longer shows any info.
Thank you to anyone who knows how or why this is happening.

Have you do nay mod to the fone? it's still under warranty? return for exchang if you could, if not you may need to reflash it. This is a known problem with the raz specialy the black edition

We have not touched the phone and it no longer has warranty as we got it of a friend who lives in Germany, as he could not understand how it worked! It is the silver version but we do have a new black one ordered.
I will look at reflashing?
