I just installed an Xecutor 2.2 Lite Plus. I go to download bios 4977 but it only comes down as a .rar file. It seems I can only import .bin files into the Xecutor Bios Manager. Help! How should I convert this .rar file to something I can use? Looked all over the net for one I could pull down in .bin format but cant find one.... Crang
You downloaded the compressed file. .rar is like .zip... You need a program called WinRAR or something like that, I got it off download.com, it's shareware. Just decompress the file, then you'll get the .bin files you need.
OK, so I opened the 4977.rar file and took the 256K 4977.bin file. I ran this through the Xecutor Bios Manager v1.1 and got a 1 meg file. I burned as a data file through Nero onto a CD-RW my box recognizes. My box boots up with the Cromwell screen, ejects the tray, and I insert the disc. It flashes "LOADING" for a second and then the name of the disc comes up. Nothing else happens!? Dip switch isnt protecting it...what gives? Do I need a dummy 50 meg file on my BIOS disc?
