    Hi,
I finaly broke down and bought a DVD burner. Buslink DVD +/-R +/-RW Model DVRW412RD

    http://www2.dealtime.com/xPO-Universal_BUSlink_BUSlink_DVRW412RD

I have dvdxcopy express 3.0.1 and use Hypermedia DVD-R disks.

Problem is that when i try to use dvdxcopy to back up my movies it will burn the first 9/10's of the dvd just fine but the last 1/10th will be all jumpy and usualy will not even play.

Have only tried it on 2 movies so far LOTR TT and a regular 2 hour dvd movie both did it.

    My system is a 2200xp athlon 512 ddr 40gb win 2000 pro.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

*edit* is there any other freeware that i should get for makeing any of this easier? I read about a lot of different programs while reading through the boards here.

Likely hood is the media you are suing. Try a more reputable brand such as traxdata and see the results.

I agree with Oriphus as in your outer edge error on disc is probably due to media. If you still want to use these discs & are able to reduce the burn speed then try them at X1 and you should be able to get a successful burn from them.
But do try Traxdata Riteks or similarly good reasonably priced media.

Worth checking DVD-R Media Forum for more detail on what ppl find paricularly good for their burner / stand alone dvd player.

P.S. DVD Shrink (free) is worth a d/l if you dont already have a copy btw
