this is my 1st post and probably not the best way to start but i need desperate help. i have a lot of anime in mkv ive recently downloaded and all the subs are Advanced Substation Alpha (ASS) which i cant get to work. i use media player classic to watch everything and normally everything works but now i have a picture and audio but no subs! ive been searching the net for the last few hours trying to find a way to fix this but so far all the advise has lead only to frustration. can anyone please help?
My own setup for subtitles with MPC is to install 'Haali Media Splitter'. http://www.afterdawn.com/guides/archive/introduction_haali_media_splitter.cfm .....and the following in MPC: 'View' > 'Options' > 'Playback' > 'Output'.
