Help with an micro sd card

Hi all, could anyone help me out? On my old mobile phone I could insert a micro sd card and i encrypted the files on it by the phone settings, but a few months later i bust the phone so I did a upgrade to an new phone but that didn't let you insert sd card, but now i can't get any excess to the files on the card even if i insert the card in a pc, samsung says you can't decrypt the sd card to gain the files back without the device the encryption was done on, is there anyway how i can fix my problem so i can decrypt my sd card and get the files back without the original phone? Samsung says you can't but there's got to be away because you could still have the original phone but it could be bust like I have, it's abit silly because I bet there's a few people who has been in the same situation and you would like to have pictures back or even videos what could be famley memories or loved ones
