Hi I've been looking around in this forum trying to look for any help. But no luck.. I'm using vdub for extracting an avi-file's audio so i can use it to mux it in dvdlabpro. I open the avi-file in vdub and I get a message " Improper Vbr audio encoding" I then press ok. I set the audio to full processing mode. And then I wanna save the wav-file. But WHen I press save I get a another message " No audio decompressoer was found - Source tag 00ff " - I've been using Gspot to identify the installed codecs I use to playback the file in mplayer with no problems at all. I've been trying to use sevaral audio software as riverpas and goldwave with no luck.. Anybody know how I can fix this problem so I can extract it to wav file? Regards Al,
try using ffmpeggui youll have to chose all video to find your avi file it will only output mp2 or ac3 but both formats are acceptable to dvdlab pro
Well tried using ffmpeggui.. Still doesnt work get a message like " unsurported codec (id=0)" It's wierd because I can playback the avi file in mplayer with perfect video & audio...
found this with a google dont know if it will help No audio decompressor could be found to decompress the source audio format This will happen when you don’t have an Audio Compression Manager (ACM) for your audio. Again, DirectShow-filters will not work with VirtualDub. The best thing to do is check the file info in VirtualDub and look for the audio tag. Most likely it will be 'tag 2000', which means AC3-audio. For this you can download the AC3ACM.zip from fcchandler. If you encounter another tag you can check for example with the audio codecs list of GSpot to which codec that tag belongs. it came from here http://forums.virtualdub.org/index.php?act=ST&f=4&t=6608
THX for the info I think I was missing the ACM So I downloaded Aud-X surround codec 1.11 that contained a ACM and a modified version of vdub, with should be able to encode ac3-files etc.
hmm tried the modified version of vdub.. still aint workin.. Im out of ideas.. everytime I set it to full processing.. it says It can't find a decopressor
